We’re proud to have an incredible Homes Community full of creators who are passionate about sharing the reality of renovating and how they have transformed their homes.
Each quarter, we’re spotlighting a member of our community and will be sharing their top tips for homeowners. Whether you’ve just started your renovation or are looking for inspiration, you don’t want to miss this!
The first creator we’re introducing is the self-proclaimed panelling-obsessed, adabankas_home.
Abi, the creator behind Our Adabanka Home, shares her journey of making her new build house a home. If you’re a lover of neutral and warm interiors, you’ll feel right at home on her profile!
Along with the dreamy inspo content, you’ll find a range of DIY tutorials, handy tips and tricks for renovations, and a lot of projects to add to your to-do list on her profile.
Take a look at some of her favourite creations:
The Gemini Wainscot Staircase
Who says that staircases have to be boring? Abi certainly doesn’t!
She wanted to elevate her staircase with minimal effort, so she opted for our Gemini wall panel mouldings. Rather than a dado rail, Abi used the Gemini mouldings to frame the top of the panelled section.
According to Abi, this “adds luxury without even trying” with “minimal styling required” – and we couldn’t agree more.
The half-height panelling is a popular choice for hallways, as it brings character to the space without being overwhelming.

The Shaker-Style Dining Room
If your open-plan kitchen and dining room is feeling lacklustre, Abi has the perfect solution for you.
She added MDF wall panels in a shaker-style to her dining room area to create a subtle visual boundary between the spaces, whilst maintaining the overall flow of the room.
As Abi put it, “MDF wall panelling strips are a simple, yet effective way of adding depth to your walls”.
She’s not wrong! Our MDF panels make it easy for you to create a design that suits your walls best.

The Saxon Living Room
Abi’s most recent project will have you thinking more is more...
She created these stunning double wall panel frames using Saxon wall panel mouldings.
Whilst the Saxon moulding was originally designed to be used as inset panelling, Abi thought the “thinner and elegant design is perfect for the grid-style finish”. It is such a clever use of the panels, especially as they perfectly frame the modern wall lights.

Why we love working with creators like Abi
Not only does Abi share gorgeous interiors that make us want to panel every inch of our home, but she also gives valuable tips for anyone renovating their home.
One of our favourites is her advice for when you’re running into a creative block:
“Try inserting an image into ChatGPT when you’re struggling for inspiration. You’ll be amazed by the ideas it will give you!”
