This Month's Best Homeware Deals On The High Street
If like us you absolutely love shopping for your home, then you are undoubtedly already aware of the great bargains you can pick up off the high street. More and more stores are now offering an extensive home section within their stores and we love all of the stunning pieces that are available. If you’ve been keeping an eye on our Instagram, you will know that we are currently in the process of completing a Pink Home Office Makeover as part of our Instagram Home Project on Youtube. So of course no room makeover would be complete without a home shopping trip!
We thought it would be a great idea to share with you some of the bargains we found on the high street and hopefully give you some ideas should you be on the lookout for some new home accessories. We visited both B&M Bargains and Wilko’s and you can watch our full come shop with us in our upcoming makeover video.
Top 5 High Street Buys
- Pink Geometric Cushions
If you are after some new cushions for your home, then B&M bargains is a great place to start your search. They have an abundance of different cushions all suited to popular colour trends such as pink, grey and mustard! For our home office makeover, we picked up a pink geometric cushion for only £5.99 and despite the price it feels really luxurious and plump.
The soft pink velvet is beautifully contrasted with a gold foil geometric design and will be the perfect addition to your home if you wanted to add some subtle pink and gold elements to your space.
- LED Floral Wreath
If you are wanting some new and fresh ideas of what to add to the blank walls within your home you should definitely consider adding a wreath or garland to your space. Not only are they super affordable, but they add a point of interest and something different than standard wall art or photo frames.
We picked ours up from B&M bargains for a reduced price of only £3, all we had to do was add our own batteries and it lights up beautifully.
- Peg Board
With a New Year now here you might be thinking of ways in which you can get your home more organised or add a touch of positivity to fight the January blues. A peg board is a great way for you to add your own personal positive messages that you can switch up whenever you like. There are so many different types you can buy online, and many people use them for positive quotes, family announcements or to schedule the week ahead. The perfect addition to any home office.
We managed to pick one up from Wilko’s for only £6 in a gorgeous baby pink colour.
- Artificial Plants
A home really isn’t complete without greenery and plants, if however, you aren’t great at keeping real plants alive in your home there are now so many realistic artificial plants available that can transform your space. Artificial plants are great because not only are they long lasting, but they are always super vibrant and stylish and can be a great little feature to spruce up a certain area or shelf within your home. B&M bargains had so many plants to choose from that all varied in size and design. We picked up a few that will be featured in our office makeover.
This terrarium style hanging plant has to be one of our favourites! We think it is so stylish and super affordable at a price of only £2.
- Lamps
B&M bargains has to be one of our favourite high street stores for lamps and lighting. There were so many to choose from in an abundance of different colours and styles. For an interactive element to our office makeover we asked our followers to vote for their favourite lamp and they chose this peach and rose gold tassel lamp, which we love! We think it adds a nice different shade of pink to the other items that we have purchased and we love the detailing. It was reduced to £10 so really reasonable and definitely worth it!

Overall, we picked up so many great bits from the high street and stuck to a budget of £50. Shopping for accessories is out favourite part about a room makeover project. For each of the rooms you are working on set aside a small budget for accessories and furnishings because they do make a difference and add that finishing touch.
