What We Loved About The H&M Home Store In Birmingham
If you’re in need of some new ideas for your home this season, then H&M home is definitely worth a visit. We went to the Birmingham H&M store last week and instantly fell in love with all the stunning décor pieces and room set ups on show. Despite instore shopping being less popular in recent years there are many benefits of shopping instore especially for home décor. You can visualise pieces in your home better, see complementing colour palettes and feel a range of different textures. You will find H&M home concept stores in both Birmingham and London, with hopefully more UK locations coming soon.
We thought we would highlight what we loved and must have products we saw during our visit to hopefully give you some ideas and inspiration for your next home décor haul.
Top 5 Standout Features In Birmingham’s H&M Home
-
Fresh Floristry
As soon as we walked in we were instantly hit by the bright, fresh florals that beautifully contrasted against the monochromatic interior. There were fresh plants and flowers dotted throughout the store, with a florist on hand to help you create your own bouquet. This is all thanks to a collaboration with Swedish florists, Bunches. We thought this was a great feature as it is no secret the benefits of having greenery around your home can have on your wellbeing.
You can complete the look with beautiful accompanying vases and plants pots to suit a range of colour schemes from pink, brown to emerald green.
-
Stylish Room Set Ups
One of the best things about instore home shopping is the inspiration you can get for your own projects from room set ups. Despite the H&M store not being particularly large in size the space included a number of different room sets up that are a great way to visualise different items and décor pieces styled together. There were spaces dedicated to all areas of the home from bathrooms to bedrooms enabling you to get inspiration for whatever room you might be decorating.
-
Cosy Soft Furnishings
If you are wanting some soft furnishings that are a little different to the norm then you will definitely love the wide choice available at H&M Home. There were so many stunning textiles to suit a wide range of colour schemes, all of which looked both luxurious and plush. Mustard and emerald green featured heavily throughout the accessories featured in store, so great if you are wanting to add some pops of colour into your space. A couple of statement cushions can really enhance a space and introduce different textures and patterns into your home without costing the earth.
-
Scented Candles
If like us you are obsessed with scents and nice smells for your home, then you will be pleased to know about their exclusive instore candle range. It goes without saying that shopping for candles and new home scents is always better in person so you can be certain you are going for a scent you love. The candles we saw instore were stylish and again complimented the colour schemes featured throughout the store. The medium candles were priced at around £12.99 and you can even complete the look with stunning wooden candle holders which we thought were a nice extra touch.
-
Contemporary Lighting
No home store is complete without a stylish range of lighting and H&M Home did not disappoint. The store was filled with decadent lighting options that were both contemporary and out of the ordinary. From bamboo shades to Gatsby style tassel lamps there were so many to choose from. Perfect if you are wanting to add a statement piece into your home that is a little different. You will certainly find a style to suit the look you are going for or perhaps fall in love with a new style you hadn’t previously considered.
Overall, our visit to H&M Home in Birmingham was a great experience and the store is a lovely addition to the Bullring. Hopefully some of what we have highlighted has inspired you for your next home shopping trip. Despite being located in the city centre they have a home delivery service should like us you fall in love with everything in store and struggle to fit it all in your car.
Our visit to H&M Home wasn’t just to swoon over all of the new home accessories but instead get inspiration for our upcoming Mid Century Modern room makeover challenge.
