architrave

Transform your doors with our high quality MDF or Oak Architrave. Here at Skirting 4 U believe the design of your architrave is just as important as the skirting board and definitely finishes off a room in style!

We have a wide range of architrave profiles to choose from including timeless designs like lambs tongue, torus and ogee. Whether you want your skirting board and architrave to match or to showcase two of your favourite profiles we can help you achieve the look you want.

Architrave Sets and Lengths

You can purchase lengths or complete door sets, whatever is easiest for you. A single architrave set consists of two upright pieces for the sides of the door at 2440mm and one ‘header’ or ‘crossbar’ for the top of the door at 1220mm. This gives you plenty of architrave for one complete door face.

Double sets are the same as sets in that you get 2 uprights at 2440mm, but the crossbar is also 2440mm. This gives enough architrave for a standard double-width door. A double architrave set is for a double width door, rather than being two sides of a standard width door.

Additionally, you might prefer to just order in metre lengths, the choice is yours! Like our skirting boards, you can fully customise your architrave by choosing the depth, width and finish.

With both MDF and Oak architrave to choose from we are confident our high quality architrave designs will be perfect for your project.

  • The edge architrave is similar to the Chamfer profile, with a smaller bevel making it particularly suitable for thinner widths of architrave. Our edge architrave is quite bold, but it’s simplistic design won’t detract from other details in your overall room design. This is an excellent choice of profile if you are looking to create a simple, uncluttered...

Architrave from the Edwardian period was particularly grand, and often a lot wider overall than what you would expect to see in interiors of today. We have created a design that offers the same level of intricacy in terms of detail, but without the need for...

  • Our Georgian architrave is inspired by architrave designs used throughout the Georgian period (1714-1830). A very classic design, the Georgian style is not as intricate as other period mouldings and as such is far less niche in terms of the style of interior it is suitable for. We feel that this architrave style is best suited to a thicker material and...
