What is an Architrave?
Architraves are interior mouldings fitted around a door frame or a window. They allow you to hide door joints and other rough surfaces by acting as a trim where the joints meet the walls or the floor. Architrave are typically available in a range of materials and finishes. The most popular are MDF architrave and Solid Oak architrave.
Architrave Door Sets & Lengths
You can purchase lengths or complete door sets, whatever is easiest for you. A single architrave set in MDF, Oak or Tulipwood consists of two upright pieces for the sides of the door at 2440mm and one ‘header’ or ‘crossbar’ for the top of the door at 1220mm. A single set in pine is slightly smaller, the two uprights are 2200mm and a 1100mm crossbar. In all materials you receive plenty of architrave for one complete door face. Double sets are like single sets, meaning that you get 2 uprights at 2440mm (2200mm in pine), but the crossbar is also 2440mm (2200mm in pine). This gives enough architrave for a standard double-width door. A double architrave set is for a double width door (like French Doors), rather than being two sides of a standard width door. Additionally, you might prefer to just order in running lengths, the choice is yours - you can fully customise the architrave by choosing the depth, width and finish.
We offer free UK-wide delivery on the mainland for all architrave orders over £500. Choose Standard Delivery, or receive your order within 2 working days with Express Delivery.
